Teachers! Oklahoma Council of Teachers of English (OKCTE) is looking forward to reading your students' writing for the annual YWC Anthology, published on Amazon; OkState English Education; and the Oklahoma Council of Teachers of English.

Please take a look at the information packet about the Young Writers Anthology for grades 6-12. There are tutorials for teachers (especially if you are new to teaching writers) and rubrics that are student friendly. They are more like checklists that students can use during peer revision.

Congratulations, Abhimanyu Sukhdial!

Abhimanyu Sukhdial, a student in Shaila West’s Advanced Language Arts class at Stillwater Junior High, was recently awarded a Certificate of Recognition for his work from the National Council of Teachers of English.

Abhimanyu submitted his writing to the Promising Young Writers Program and the certificate he received is the highest honor the national chapter awards to young scribes. Additionally, he is the only Oklahoma student to receive this recognition.

Please join us in congratulating Abhimanyu on this impressive honor.
